Dry
Layer:
In this
test, layers of one drop of blood are pressed onto a glass slide and left
to
dry. Eight layer samples are arranged on the slide in two rows of
four. The
purpose of this test is to determine the effects of free radical activity
in the
blood. It originated in Europe in the 20’s and was first introduced
to the USA by
the head of surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Dr. H.L.
Bowlen in the 30’s. He learned the test from General Dwight D. Eisenhower’s
NATO physician, Dr. Heitan and Dr. La Garde.
Free radicals attack and damage cells and the matrix that holds cells together,
resulting in alterations in the blood clotting mechanism. The blood
does not
coagulate perfectly. The coagulation pattern of blood from a healthy
person will
be uniform and tightly connected. In someone with health problems
and excess
free radical damage, the pattern will be disconnected and show white “protein
puddles”. The more protein puddles present, the more oxidative
damage in the
patient. As a patient gets better, the coagulation pattern will show
a healthier
pattern, with a decrease in protein puddles and will become more tightly
connected again.
Dry

This test can be used to compile information such as:
- vitamin
and
mineral deficiencies

- congestion
of circulatory system
- cholesterol
and plaque
- …..and
many others
Polymerized
Protein Puddles (PPPs)
The polymerized
protein puddles are the result of an abnormal coagulation
pattern. The PPPs may appear as white dots, lakes or rivers. The
size of these
puddles is important and is used to distinguish between different ailments.
Note
that the deeper the layer in which the PPPs are seen, the more chronic the
condition.
- 2
microns in size are related to hypersensitivities, allergic reactions
- 30
microns in size are related to both physical and emotional stress, physical
strain
- 40+
microns in size are related to degenerative conditions. The larger
the PPPs
and the more of them, the more serious the condition.
Top
PPP
Patterns
PPP patterns
are also important – some typical patterns are:
- Total
disbursement of large PPPs
in all rings could represent
- Degenerative
disease, strong free radical activity, accumulated and/or
chronic
toxicity
- Possible
cancer, arthritis or inflammatory conditions which are
widespread
or systemic
- Arthritis,
gout, bacterial infections, parasites
- Total
disbursement of small (2 micron) PPPs
“snowstorm”
- Possible
allergic sensitivities to food, particularly to wheat, dairy
and gluten.
Could be sensitivities to something inhaled such
as mold, cat and
dog fur, dander, dust, dust mites, pollens, perfumes,
exhaust fumes,
formaldehyde, carpet, new clothing, etc
- Lack
of sleep, overwork, overtired, physical strain, anxiety and other
forms
of stress
- Emotional
stress from mental worry, loneliness, anger, fear, sorrow,
grief,
guilt, non - acceptance, or denial
- One
or two large, circular PPPs
in the center
- Related
to hormonal imbalance and/or reproductive area, possibly
bowel
inflammation.
- In
men, this may mean prostate, with signs of a pressing bladder and
frequent
urination.
- In
women this can be related to the uterus, ovaries, cervix,
hysterectomy,
fibrous conditions, bleeding, vaginal situations, etc.
- Cluster
pattern of large PPPs in the centre
- Possible
colon problems such as inflammation, irritable bowel, acid
bowel,
constipation and toxicity
- Cluster
of PPPs like a snowstorm
at the centre
- Same
as in number 2 above.
- If
the PPPs are around 30 microns, it may indicate problems in the
back,
neck, shoulders, numb and pinched nerves
- When
the cluster includes only sparse 30 micron patterns, this may be related
to adrenal insufficiency, exhaustion, burn-out, depression, listlessness,
a tendency to give up easily, less ability to bounce back, less drive.
-
One or 2 large PPPs
off centre
- May
be related to weak kidneys, bladder, spleen, gall bladder, stones,
bile
salts.
- Possibly
liver, detoxification, stressed liver, plugged bile ducts.
- Could
be stomach issues, such as ulcers, acid indigestion, rumbling,
gas,
and bloating
- Large
PPPs (90 microns) off centre
- May
signify allergic reactions and hypersensitivities including mold,
cat or
dog fur, dander, perfumes, pollens, formaldehyde, foods,
sick buildings.
- Possibly
dark circles under eyes, stinging or blurry eyes.
Miscellaneous
Notes and Conditions
- Arthritis
is demonstrated as long white masses which are generated by the presence
of uric or citric acid crystals. Arthritis is often associated
with circulatory problems, fungal conditions, and ingestion of indigestible
calcium from water
Top
- Bowel
Toxicity
is indicated by a blackish centre, particularly if found in all layers.
Digestive insufficiency is indicated if the blackish centre is
found only in the last two or three layers. Circular by-products
can be an indication of bowel irritation. May see lowered immunity
or leaky gut syndrome. If PPPs are found
in the first 2 or 3 drops but not in the deeper ones may indicate problems
with the connective tissue between the bowels
Potential
Causes: Poor digestion, malabsorption, not chewing properly,
low unsaturated fatty acids, pancreas dysfunction, large bowel dysfunction.
- Chemical
or Metal Ring
appears
in the first one or two layers as a dark ring around the outside and
may indicate chemical poisoning or presence of metals
- Fibrin
Net
should be present as continuous black “spider web” lines.
When this net is not continuous, it may be due to digestive difficulty,
liver or viral problems.
- Viral
indications appear as bridges across
PPPs.
Symptoms:
low oxygenation, fatigue, chronic fatigue, Epstein Barr virus?
- Browned or Tanned Red Blood
Cells: Yeast or fungus such as Candida
- local or systemic.
Note: Balancing the body nutritionally and supplementing
with Probiotics will minimize yeast and fungus overgrowth.
Top
- Heart
By-Product
is
demonstrated by a raised three dimensional circular
area
or areas surrounding a black spot. This does not necessarily
mean an ensuing
heart condition, but does indicate stress on
the heart function. Allopathic
testing should be suggested when there
are a large number of these
present.
- Lymphatic
Congestion
is possible
when there is white scattered
throughout the lymphatic ring, particularly when in the first two layers.
Can also
indicate lung and breast congestion. Yeast and hormonal
imbalance could
also be indicated.
- Liver
Problems
can be seen when there are black unraised areas of
concentration
and can appear anywhere in the specimen.
Note: The liver filters the blood and helps with processing
hormones. When it is congested with chemicals and hormone disruptors,
it may not function effectively. Bile and enzymes are secreted by the
liver for digestion of carbohydrates and fat. When the liver is congested,
there may be problems digesting these types of foods. Milk Thistle has
been used in Chinese Medicine for thousands of years to treat liver
disorders. Other herbs such as Dandelion are also beneficial. Supplementing
with minerals and B-vitamins will also help with liver problems.
Potential Causes: May be due to lack of enzyme function
from mineral deficiencies or the need to strengthen the liver with herbs.
- Osteoporosis
may show as white elongated PPPs in the bone
area and
extending
into the lymphatic ring.
- Psychological
Stress
shows up as small white PPPs scattered through
the middle of the last few drops. It is similar to fear based
survival reactions, over activity, worry, emotional turmoil, particularly
as related to relationships, hidden sexual abuse victim.
- Thyroid
issues may show up as:
-
a non-continuous fibrin net, especially in the last 2 or 3 drops.
Small areas which are devoid of fibrin lines are termed "thyroid
smears".
- erased
fibrin in elongated different colored area (thyroid or parathyroid
is out of balance)
- fibrin
network not connecting (poor interconnection) can signify hormonal
imbalance, hormonal changes, or thyroid out of balance (Weight changes?).
Symptoms:
weight or hormonal changes, low or deficient in minerals, low pH (acidic),
ulcers, heartburn, susceptible to disease.
Note: Supplementing with a source of Iodine such as
Kelp is very beneficial to the Thyroid gland. Minerals such as and Selenium
are also beneficial.
Top
- A
Double Coast
is seen when there may be a vitamin C deficiency,
sulphur
based amino acid deficiency or other anti-oxidant vitamins and
minerals.
-
Round and clear PPPs
indicate inflammation, irritation, soreness, and swelling especially
when surrounded by black.
- Localized
PPPs
in a particular area indicate a localized situation
in the body, rather than a systemic problem.
- Linked
PPPs
with crystals represent degenerative disease conditions,
free radical
activity and toxicity. Systemic cancer, arthritis,
gout,
bacterial infections
and parasites may also be involved.
- Dark
bulge in fibrin
may be due to parasites, fungus or toxins
Note: Balancing the body nutritionally and supplementing
with Probiotics will minimize yeast and fungus overgrowth.
- Broken
fibrin network
- weak
pancreas, hypoglycemia or sugar
intolerance.
Note:
Supplementing with Chromium, and Zinc may help with this.
Top
- Lighter
color red
inside
a fibrin network
may signify anemia – low iron, B12 or folate, poor assimilation
(malabsorption due to lack of HCL production). Stress and negative emotions
may interfere with HCL production and cause malabsorption.
Symptoms: low energy, tired.
- Fibrin
network
not connecting may represent hormonal imbalance
Note: Supplementing with Vitamin E, Selenium and Zinc
can help with this.
- Missing
fibrin
network
-
(poor concentration) can signify poor digestion of protein or pancreas
dysfunction.
Note: Supplementing with B-Vitamins, enzymes with HCL
and minerals will help with this.
- Long
straight or crooked wavy strands
of
black or white fibrin could be an indication of pain in the back, neck,
shoulders, tendonitis, pinched nerves or a curved spine (scoliosis).
This could also be the result of whiplash.
- Great
lakes with grey dots
(PPP’s resemble “great lakes”) may indicate cancer
or coming cancer.
- White
radial spokes
- calcium/phosphorus
levels off, low boron, alkaline minerals
- Misty
cloud-like RBC areas against a broken fibrin network
may indicate sugar intolerance, hypoglycemia, diabetes (dysfunctional
pancreas), DIC (Disseminated intravascular coagulation).
- Cells
filling back
from
the shore of lakes into the center of lakes are healing.

Layers
The term
“Layers” refers to each of the blood dots on the slide. The
first and
largest dot is Layer 1 while the last and smallest dot is Layer 8. The
larger the
layer, the more it is related to temporary and acute problems. The
smaller layers
are generally related to more deep seated, long term or chronic situations.
Layers
1 and 2
(the largest layers) relate more to the condition on the outside
of the body such as skin, lymph, eyes, ears, nose, throat, mouth, brain,
hips and
feet. These conditions may have been present for a shorter duration.
Layers
3, 4 and 5
give more accuracy regarding lung, breast, lymphatic and
hormone conditions. These conditions have been present for a longer period
of
time than those found in layers 1 and 2.
Layers
6, 7 and 8
are more accurate for sex organs, kidneys, liver, spleen, gall bladder,
pancreas, stomach, stress, allergic sensitivities. These layers represent
more accuracy with conditions that are well established, chronic and long
term
conditions.
Top
Rings
The term
“Rings” refers to concentric circles in the layer (like on
a target) that
coincide with different parts of the body. Ring 1 is in the centre of
each layer,
and Ring 8 is on the outside of the circle (the largest ring). Ring 8
represents the
outside of the body (skin) and each inward ring moves progressively in
to the
inside of the body (bowel, sex organs, etc...). Patterns observed
in the dry blood
are not random but are very specific to the conditions they represent.
Ring
1
(centre) represents reproductive organs, ovaries and prostate. In
men,
this would be related to prostate and bladder. In women, patterns
here are
related to uterus, ovaries, cervix, hysterectomy, fibrotic conditions,
bleeding,
vaginal problems. PPPs found in Layer 1
only and Ring 1 in a woman could be
due to menstrual period.
Rings
2 and 3
relate to kidney, liver, gall bladder, colon, digestion and stomach issues.
Spleen and bladder issues may also show up here, as may psychological
issues. Liver problems could be related to liver detoxification,
stress or plugged ducts. Gall bladder could be
related to low bile salts, gallstones or if the gall bladder has been
removed. Digestive insufficiency especially proten, could also show
up. Intestinal and pancreatic problem would also appear in these
rings. Stomach ulcers, gas and bloating could also be present. Allergic
sensitivities may be present in these rings. Colon issues that show
up may relate to impaction, constipation or irregular bowel movements.
Marijuana us may show up in this ring.
Ring
4
relates mainly to lung or breast issues. Possible lung problems
could be
congestion, flu, chronic bronchitis, smoker (or was a smoker in the past)
or
secondary smoke. Breast issues could relate to breast tenderness,
cysts, fibroids,
lumps or problems with implants. When PPPs
occur only on one side of the
layer, the indication is that one lung or one breast are involved.
Ring
5
PPPs localization relates to lymph nodes, lymph
or edema. Need
exercise, lymphatic massage, lots of fluids, raw fruit and vegetables.
This could
also be related to water retention or toxic kidneys. This ring can
also relate to
lung, breast and hormone conditions.
Rings
6, 7 and 8
PPPs relate to the condition of the outside of
the body such as skin, lymph, eyes, nose, throat, mouth, head, brain,
hips, and feet. Ring 6
mainly relates to the lymphatic and circulatory systems. May see
bumps on the
edge that indicate head and neck injuries. Metal toxicity also shows
up in this
ring as a dark shadow or wave at the edge of the ring. Toxins and
metals or
connective tissue problems could also be present and could be due to inadequate
exercising. May need to get the heart rate up through aerobic exercise,
go to a
sauna, have a hot bath or something else that will open the pores and
eliminate
toxins. Localized PPPs to this ring could also be due to dental
factors such as
crowns, fillngs, dentures, etc. There could also be metals in the
fatty tissue cells.
Metal toxins could also be due to cigarette smoke, second hand smoke,
air
pollution, etc.
